About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team! In this role, youll be at the heart of our international shipping operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods while adhering to international regulations. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will be key as you work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies or damages.
- Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring compliance with international shipping requirements, proper labeling, and all necessary documentation.
- Create and manage crucial shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Stay on top of international shipping regulations and company policies, ensuring all shipments meet compliance standards.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to arrange and track shipments.
- Maintain up-to-date records of inventory levels and ensure accurate updates in the inventory management system.
- Resolve any issues related to shipping delays, customs holds, or damages to maintain a smooth operation.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and required documentation.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Excellent logistics coordination and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, with a focus on international shipments.
- Experience with international shipping regulations is highly preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
