related to transport shipments between Divisions, local vendors, and customers in the Tulsa area. Uses acquired knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads, and keep record of loads to be picked up and delivery details
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs tasks that are simple to moderately complex requiring some skill, experience and judgment to complete to include:
&x2022; Safe operation of delivery vehicle
&x2022; Load/unload shipments
&x2022; Efficient route planning and execution
&x2022; Maintain log of shipments, including shipper/consignee information and other shipment details
&x2022; Ensure timely pickups and deliveries to divisions, vendors, and customers.
&x2022; Refuel delivery truck
&x2022; Maintain and ensure cleanliness of assigned equipment.
&x2022; Conduct daily inspection of truck, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Report maintenance needs or mechanical failures to appropriate personnel.
&x2022; Work quickly and independently to deliver shipments in a timely manner.
Ancillary Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.
Requirements ***MUST HAVE Valid DL*** Experience driving truck with a trailer.
Two (2) or more years of experience with moving large trucks within a confined area
NOTE: This position is working at the Airport
This position is NOT Climate Controlled
&x2022; Must be able to read and write the English language and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, work instructions, engineering specifications, Material Safety Data Sheets, and other like documents used in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
&x2022; Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site, and attend regularly.
&x2022; Excellent time management and prioritization skills
&x2022; Basic computer knowledge including using online mapping or GPS equipment, ability to use
&x2022; Experience driving 24-26 straight box truck or larger truck/equipment
&x2022; Must have experience with moving large trucks within a confined area
&x2022; Must have and maintain OK drivers license
&x2022; Knowledge of Tulsa and surrounding area
&x2022; Certification in forklift operation required
Special Training:
&x2022; Safety training as required by OSHA.
