Job Summary
Assures and provides excellent training services to internal and external employees and customers within the Station.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides initial orientation training to new employees
- Deliver initial & recurrent training in accordance with global and local standards
- Audit and evaluate operations/colleagues for quality assurance and compliance, developing and delivering corrective actions as necessary
- Maintains company’s training and customer’s manuals and documentation
- Forecast & plan for new hire and recurrent training needs
- Identifies and satisfies all training needs
- On-site point of contact for internal and external training audits as needed.
- Perform regular competency assessments for new and existing employees within designated areas
- Responsible for maintaining timely and accurate training records (digital and paper) for all employees within designated area & functions
- Collaborate with the Training management team
- Provide AVOP (DA) training (when authorized)
- May be required to work in the operations when needed
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies
- Relevant (GH/Cargo/Fueling/all) experience
- Leadership, organizational and people management skills (successful completion of Learning Certification Program or Swissport Train the Trainer)
- Obtain and maintain customers and company’s required certifications
- A proven ability to problem solving and decision-making experience
- Planning and organizing skills
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to understand and deal with conflicts
- Computer literate (Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint): positive assets
- Ability to work under pressure
- Customer focus and quality awareness
- Personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness
- Must have Full RAIC and possess and maintain an AVOP (DA/D)
- Flexibility to work various shifts to accommodate training demands
- The position will be for twenty-four (24) months minimum
- There will be a probationary period of sixty (60) worked days after obtaining all requirements for the position.
- Must maintaining a valid RAIC and Skills Qualifications for both internal and external training
- Ensure to be in the highest standing position for certification to assist all below wing operations (towing, pushback, cabin cleaning etc.)
Selection process
Shall be based on the following 7 criteria, which are not in order:
- The employee’s seniority
- The employee passing certifications as per Company’s requirements
- The employee’s ability to perform all required duties
- The employee holding a full RAIC and AVOP
- The employee passing the YVR AVOP driver examiner test.
- The employee qualified on Lead training
- The employee will be First Aid trainer
