Job Title: A&P Technician - Level IJob Description

We are seeking an Aircraft Technician I who will work under close supervision to perform or assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of basic aircraft systems and structures. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a valid Driver’s License. The role requires either an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or 2 years of aviation maintenance experience. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively to receive and understand work assignments.
  • Perform basic aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications under close supervision.
  • Assist with the movement of aircraft as required.
  • Complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Properly identify and tag customer property and equipment, and store them securely.
  • Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment.
  • Ensure all customer property is properly protected.
  • Use material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to Work Orders.
  • Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic and de-icing fluids, and solvent rags.
  • Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain clean and uncluttered work areas.
  • Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.
  • Comply with safety rules and procedures, using protective equipment as required.
  • Address and report unsafe conditions before risking people or property.
  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, which may include flight tests.
Essential Skills
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or 2 years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals.
  • Communication skills for understanding work assignments.
  • Ability to perform basic inspections, repairs, and modifications.
  • Familiarity with operating ground support equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Avionic, FCC, troubleshooting, electrical skills.
  • A&P License, avionics experience.
  • Heavy equipment mechanic experience, generator, wiring knowledge.
  • Flexibility with all shift schedules.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.66 - $25.66/hr.
