Hillcrest Aircraft Company (HAC) is seeking an Avionics Technician with an associate degree and 1 to 2 years GA experience to join our growing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, configure, and repair avionics equipment and systems, including pilot-static checks, radio communications testing, and navigation systems calibration.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner while maintaining a positive attitude and following instructions as required in accordance with HAC policies and procedures.
- Ensure goals and objectives are met, while ensuring all aircraft maintenance documentation is completed in compliance with applicable FAA regulations, HAC policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals.
General:
- Responsible and accountable for operating in the best interest of the Employer while maintaining a high level of customer service and positive relations.
- Maintain a positive representation of Employer at all times including the name, integrity, culture, and concept of Hillcrest Aircraft Company, while consistently following company policies and guidelines.
- The candidate must adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to the work area and job functions, along with other duties.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Document maintenance and repair work in accordance with FAA regulations and Company policies.
- Provide accurate and detailed descriptions indicating specific repairs performed.
- Troubleshoot, test, adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies on aircraft.
- Test and inspect removed avionics equipment for recertification.
- Practice attention to detail to ensure a high-quality finished product during the installation of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems on aircraft.
- Set up and operate test equipment to perform functional ground tests of electronic systems.
- Complete assigned tasks within allotted time frame.
- Demonstrate understanding and expertise in operational testing of avionics and aircraft systems.
- Understand troubleshooting processes / concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
- Demonstrate specific skills required to repair and/or replace defective wiring; including splicing, soldering and connector termination while ensuring repairs meet conformity and FAA regulations.
- Proficient in computer-based configuration, upgrades, and software downloads to Avionics and electronic systems in support of installations and maintenance operations.
