The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
Role Description:
Assist the Senior Aircraft Maintenance Instructor in the development, planning, scheduling, and coordination of training requirements for Host Nation and contractor personnel in aviation maintenance. Perform aircraft maintenance platform training and related peripheral maintenance activities orientations, as well as instruction, principally on, but not limited to, various UH-60 Black Hawk-type aircraft models. Conduct hands-on training tasks, skills development, and other activities in English and Spanish, principally Spanish, as a Platform Instructor and On-the-Job Trainer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop formal classroom courseware to ISD standards in English and Spanish to ensure compliance with program training objectives, standards, and procedures for UH-60 series helicopters.
- Utilizes training documents and exam control measures of courses, and hands-on evaluations.
- Document student progress.
- Train, monitor, and evaluate aviation maintenance Students while conducting scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, and inspections of aircraft and equipment conditions to ensure safety of flight compliance with technical directives, maintenance directives, and OSHA and Department of State regulations.
- Provide on-the-spot instruction to maintenance personnel as necessary.
- Ensures compliance with USG and Company workplace and aviation maintenance safety practices, including FOD Control, Tool Room procedures, and environmental safety.
- Assist the Senior Aircraft Maintenance Instructor in the use of an aircraft maintenance database related to aircraft maintenance training and other office applications to track and report training and certification of INL/A program personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
