GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
- This is a working lead position. The Site Lead is expected to perform maintenance and inspections on the AH-64D/E aircraft IAW the IETM and associated publication for US Army Aviation maintenance.
- Will serve as the on-site UTARNG RAPSC Site Lead for the contract field team and perform AH-64D/E aircraft maintenance as assigned. Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair, and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
- Perform aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections to ensure compliance with technical instructions and related directives and management of contractor personnel.
- Perform leadership duties associated with associated with maintenance operations to include direction of work expectation, task assignments and mentorship on a daily basis.
DUTIES:
- Provide leadership and mentorship for the UTARNG RAPSC Team.
- Ensure all workmanship and task completion is to standard of US Army maintenance publications.
- Provide aviation maintenance and repair services, as well as developmental and operational test and evaluation support, to include testing of aircraft, aviation systems and associated support equipment.
- Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.
- Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.
- Provide flight line support operations to include but not limited to; aircraft issue, launch, recovery, pre-flight and post flight maintenance assistance, fire guard, aircraft tie down installation and removal and aircraft and AGSE tow operations.
- Use technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.
- Solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures manuals.
- Utilize aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc.
- Provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers.
- Utilize excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
- Make entries in aircraft logs and records GEN-24-AMAM-01 addendum 2 & 3.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
- Responsible for performing preliminary, hidden damage, in process, FOD, and final inspections of work performed within the MRO Operations.
- Provides technical assistance, interprets technical data, and evaluates maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft, components, and equipment is provided in accordance with current technical publications and directives.
- Complies with all regulatory/statutory, customer and contractual requirements.
- Maintain Technical Publications and related directives
- Maintain Technical publications, forms, and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
- Administer and monitor aircraft weight and balance programs.
- Prepares studies, evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance, component repair, and related activities
- Plans aircraft maintenance areas, components repair shops, and facilities
- Applies production control, quality control and other maintenance management principles and procedures to aircraft maintenance and shop operations
- Supervises the verification and validation of technical manuals, training devices and contractor furnished training material pertaining to new aircraft and/or component fielding
- Supervises the development and instruction of training programs
- Must have experience in all aspects or safety, documentations, HAZMAT, training/licenses/certifications, scheduling, production control and management
- Must have analytical ability combined with knowledge and application of assurance principles and techniques.
- Organizational/intermediate level maintenance

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have completed a military aircraft repairer school for AH-64D/E 15R series course verifiable or Military equivalent
- Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course and/or Advanced Leaders Course graduate or equivalent required
- FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) certificate desired
- Must have verifiable AH-64D/E Maintenance Supervisor experience (former 15Z or Senior 151A or 152D a plus) Required or equivalent
- Minimum of 15 years experience in US Army Aviation aircraft maintenance is required
- Minimum 5 years quality assurance experience required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance (Contractor employees shall have a favorable background investigation or hold a security clearance)
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Proficiency in ACN (aircraft notebook)
- Must be thoroughly familiar with AR 95-20, DA PAM 738-751 (GEN-24-AMAM-001), AR 700-138, and all associated aircraft maintenance manuals
- Must have own tools and ability to meet minimum tool list requirements, applying FOD and tool control best practices in accordance with AR 95-20 and Flight and Ground Operating Procedures.
- Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experience desired
