Summary:
Perform inspections using engineering drawings, route cards, inspection travelers, technical specifications, QA procedures, and work instructions.
Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections of aircraft structures and systems; verify functional operation, check for FOD, and review required documentation.
Perform conformity and first article inspections per FAA-approved procedures.
Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
Promote health, safety, and risk reduction; report hazards, suggest improvements, and participate in safety investigations.
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.
Conduct area inspections to verify compliance with standards and specifications.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience.
2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience preferred.
Completion of a Formal Inspection Training Program within 90 days of hire.
Working knowledge of shop mathematics and blueprint/CATIA interpretation.
Proficiency in using basic shop tools and equipment.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
