• Per Diem: $53/hour DOE ($21/hour regular + $255/day per diem, $60/hour overtime)
• Local (non per diem): $44/hour DOE
• Expect overtime, day shift 5x10 or 6x10 schedule
• Over $2000 per week with overtime, weekly pay

As a Structures Assembly Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing, installing, sealing, rigging, inspecting, and completing precision and other structural and system components of the 737 fuselage. You will be working in an aircraft manufacturing facility, performing repair and reassembly on fuselage areas, including functional testing and correcting, fitting forms, and functioning assemblies and components.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural re-work, repairs, and installs on 737 aircraft, specifically on the fuselage, join areas, and doors.
• Remove and reinstall fasteners; drill holes to close tolerance, install rivets and fasteners of various types.
• Repair composite panels, remove, replace, and repair flight controls.
• Fabricate and install doublers and triplers.
• Conduct functional tests and ensure correct fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.

• 5+ years of experience in aircraft structures repair.
• Proficiency in sheet metal work and blueprint reading.
• 4+ years of experience in drilling, reaming, riveting, and countersinking to close tolerance in an Aviation or Aerospace repair or manufacturing environment.

• Eligibility for re-hire at Boeing.
• Ability to pass a series of tests including the Plate Test, Electrical Bonding Testing, and Blueprint Reading Test with a passing score of 80 or higher.

Work Environment

You will be working in a factory environment, with potential shifts of up to 7 days a week from 5am to 5pm. Training will take place either in Wichita, KS or the local area, with flights, hotel, and car expenses covered if travel is required. There are openings on both 1st and 2nd shifts, and you must be open to either. Tools are provided, and eligibility for a Boeing badge is required.

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $53.00/hr.
