Serves as MH-60M Aircraft Technical Inspector in a passback maintenance facility. Will be the quality control representative in a phase bay inspecting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on MH-60M aircraft. Inspects and signs off maintenance and coordinates for government acceptance of critical safety items and flight safety items. Will work extensively in aircraft and component historical records in ACN and MCDS records. Will conduct aircraft serial number inventories, aircraft inventories, and weight and balance activities. Inspects toolboxes for accountability on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Checks and accepts maintenance preformed and completes all aircraft historical records processes
- Coordinates for government quality assurance acceptance of CSI and FSI items
- Conducts aircraft inventories, weight and balance activities, tracks defective work in the phase bay
- Submits aircraft historical records for government review upon completion of maintenance
- Conducts toolbox inspections to ensure tool are accounted for on a daily basis
- Produces Maintenance Engineering Calls (MECs) for submission to a Logistical Assistance Representative (LAR) for repairs beyond the limits specified in the technical publications
- Tracks life limited components in the aircraft historical records
- Works with the Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP) to track component life with oil and hydraulic fluid sampling
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain secret clearance
- Must have a minimum of ten years in rotary wing aircraft maintenance, preferably with at least two years of previous inspector experience
- Service school producing aircraft technical inspector preferable
- Weight and balance certification desirable
