Summary:

Assemble, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment, components, and systems in accordance with schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal work instructions

Operate test equipment, perform functional and performance testing, and document results per required procedures

Perform precise calibration and alignment checks; complete modifications, part replacements, and preparation of required compounds and solutions

Provide hands-on mechanical support for HIMARS, M270, and other military vehicles, including preventative maintenance, fault isolation, and repair of diesel and gasoline powertrain systems

Requirements:

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance (not required to start)

High School Diploma or GED

Familiarity with gasoline and diesel engines, with demonstrated troubleshooting ability on vehicle powertrain systems

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals

High School Diploma or GED

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance (not required to start)

Ability to wear required safety footwear

Willingness to obtain forklift physical and license during assignment

Ability to operate a forklift after several months on assignment

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Experience:

Prior experience as a diesel mechanic on heavy-duty equipment (e.g., bulldozers, large industrial diesel engines)

Experience working on military platforms such as M270, HIMARS, HUMVEE, or comparable tactical vehicles
