Job Summary:
GoJet Airlines is seeking a skilled and dedicated Engine Technician to join our team. The Engine Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of aircraft engines. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment to ensure the reliability and safety of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft engines in compliance with FAA regulations, company standards, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve engine malfunctions or failures, ensuring minimal aircraft downtime.
  • Conduct engine removals, installations, and overhauls as needed.
  • Inspect and test engine components, systems, and subsystems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete all required maintenance documentation, including work orders, logbooks, and FAA-required paperwork, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure that engine-related issues are addressed quickly and efficiently.
  • Participate in engine performance monitoring and analysis to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime.
  • Assist in engine testing and ground runs to verify repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and parts are properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in aircraft engine technology and maintenance practices.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an engine technician, with experience in aircraft engine maintenance and repair.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft engine systems, including turbine and piston engines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose engine issues using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Familiarity with engine manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as be available for on-call duty.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Bombardier CRJ200 – A regional jet that typically seats around 50 passengers, used for shorter routes.
  • Bombardier CRJ700 – A slightly larger regional jet that typically accommodates 66-78 passengers.
  • Bombardier CRJ900 – A more spacious regional jet, typically seating 76-90 passengers, which is often used for medium-length routes.

  • Additional engine-related certifications or specialized training.

  • Previous experience working in an airline or commercial aviation environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy parts (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor environments.

Compensation:

Start pay $35-$38 depending on experience.

Must be authorized to work in the USA.
