Summary:
Perform advanced troubleshooting, circuit analysis, and signal flow tracing on aircraft avionics systems.
Conduct operational testing and troubleshooting on aircraft bench and/or flight line in compliance with DOD, manufacturer, company, and supplier directives.
Assemble, install, test, and modify wire bundles and avionics systems.
Interpret technical documentation including drawings, wire diagrams, work instructions, and specifications.
Diagnose and correct assembly process malfunctions; ensure compliance with quality requirements using precision instruments.
Maintain required certifications, licenses, and permits.
Train and assist less senior employees; may lead teams on complex tasks.
Support other disciplines (General Mechanics, Structures, Electrics) to meet schedule and cost targets.
Follow established safety procedures, including Hazardous Energy and Lockout/Tagout systems.
Perform duties 100 onsite at San Antonio, TX.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance after start.
High school diploma or GED
Experience with F-15 or other fighter platforms.
Hands-on experience with avionics systems such as Comm/Nav, Data Links, Weapons, Radar, or Electronic Warfare.
8+ years working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and SOPs.
8+ years of experience with aircraft computer systems and standard office software.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
This position may involve weekends, holidays, and scheduled or unscheduled overtime to meet mission requirements.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
