1) Only utilize calibrated inspection tools to perform duties. Ensuring and tracing accountability of said inspection tools.
2) Works from engineering drawings, general or written instructions, inspection check sheets, standard inspection directives and procedures.
3) Learns Receiving, Repair Determination and In-Process Inspection, and test operations to assure quality standards for engine components, quality of workmanship and functional performance.
4) Learns to audit all phases of the Repairs, including special processes, and machining operations involving milling, drilling, grinding, cutting, etc. All in house operations on multiple metals (i.e. titanium, aluminum, etc.)
5) Learns to check engine components or tooling dimensions such as; locations, concentricitys, parallelism, height, angles and squareness using precision measuring equipment such as; specific gages, calipers, scales, micrometers (to specific parameters and tolerances). In addition to specialized measuring equipment, have ability to perform precise visual inspection.
6) Maintains a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations.
7) Assists in the development and maintenance of a business culture, which supports the Companys overall business objectives and goals, to include issues that involve “cost, quality, process, schedule and people”.
8) Ensures the companys commitment to maintain a safe workplace and to protect the environment through the establishment and support of Company policy and adherence to various government regulations.
9) Fully complies with the "GKN Aerospace, Inc. Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government" in all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the United States Government.
10) Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
