Essential Skills of the job
- Perform overhauls and/or repairs on a wide variety of different landing gear systems.
- Troubleshoot and assist in repairing/inspecting different landing gear components.
- Utilize and consistently learn new procedures on approved overhaul/repairs.
- Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.
This position includes varying amounts of inspection, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairing, performing overhauls and testing aircraft landing gear components on a variety of aircraft models. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with their hands and have a love of mechanical functions. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be required to work as a team or independently depending on the project. All technicians will use personal protection equipment according to manufacturers’ specifications, in a safe and clean work environment. This position requires a high attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records of repairs performed as required by the FAA and manufacturer.
