The Role:

The Maintenance Associate plays a key role in the overall effective and efficient functioning of a full-service aircraft maintenance operation that provides high-caliber service for a large fleet of private jets.  Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring the facilities to conduct general cleaning, tidying and organizing, and for performing general and preventative maintenance tasks.

 

What you will do:

  • Regularly monitor hangars and general facilities to ensure cleanliness and tidiness contributing to an organized and efficient operation
  • Manage all facilities work orders, responding to maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks, addressing minor repairs and coordinating with various departments or externally
  • Maintain detailed records of facilities work orders, and completed maintenance tasks including dates, descriptions, parts, completion of tasks and escalation of ongoing issues
  • Regularly inspect building systems like HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and fire safety equipment to prevent premature failures
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, identifying root causes, suggesting and/or implementing solutions, escalating complex issues
  • Liaise with Contractors and Landlord representatives
  • Provide other facility operations support such as assisting in equipment movement between hangars, managing hazardous waste drums, and stocking hangars with consumable items
  • Ensure exterior facilities areas and grounds are clean and clear
  • Contribute to overall safety efforts by actively participating in ongoing workplace inspections, anticipating potential issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and internal SOPs, and reporting concerns and actual hazards
  • Maintain work-related documentation (i.e. work orders with details, resolutions, completion dates and logs)
  • Monitor and replenish First Aid Kits and Eye Wash Stations, etc., as per established checklists
  • Support the Company wide Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) Committee as a functional employee representative


What you bring:

  • Knowledge of general mechanics and repair, with proven hands-on experience
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to install, move, dismantle, and reassemble basic mechanical equipment 
  • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
  • Effective verbal and written communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other partners including landlords and contractors
  • Basic knowledge and skills with MS Office
