You will be the experienced engineer for the Precision Fires (MFOM) Launchers team. Our team is responsible for supporting a production launcher program, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful procurement and resolution of supplier-related issues.

What You Will Be Doing
As the experienced engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with a small team, Engineering SMEs, Manufacturing, Quality, and GSC to aid in procuring parts and resolving supplier-related issues. Your role will involve a range of tasks, including design, supplier support, and liaison work, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities such as Material Review Board and cost account work.

Your responsibilities will include:
•3D model design and drawing release
•Supplier support and shop liaison
•Presentations internally and to customers
•Possible transition to Material Review Board (MRB) and cost account work
•Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and GSC

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
A Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace engineering Bachelor of Science degree and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience are required.

Candidates are preferred to be proficient with 3D CAD design (ProE/CREO preferred), performing tolerance analyses, and MS Office software tools.
Desired Skills:
Experience in ground vehicle design, production support, and manufacturing liaison.

Experience supporting supplier troubleshooting and supplier management.

MRB Disposition experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
