You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer for the Precision Fires (MFOM) Launchers team, supporting the development and production of launcher programs. Our team is responsible for designing, integrating, and testing innovative launcher systems, and were looking for an experienced engineer to join our team.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to develop new designs, integrate and test electronics, and upgrade launchers with new fire control systems. Your responsibilities will include:

•Collaborating with Engineering SMEs, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to develop and implement new designs
•Designing 3D models, releasing drawings, and supporting suppliers
•Serving as a liaison to the shop floor and resolving hardware issues in a fast-paced production environment
•Possibly transitioning to take on Material Review Board (MRB) work, resolving hardware defects
•Traveling occasionally to support tests or visit suppliers

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
An ME or AE Bachelor of Science Degree with
mimimum 2 years experience
Experience in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and PLM
(Windchill)
Fluent in MF Office Software Tools
Familiarity with GD&T principles, engineering
change process experience.
Desired Skills:
Experience in ground vehicle desing, production
support, and manufacturing liaison
Experience supporting troubleshooting and
supplier engagement a bonus.
MRB dispositioning experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
