Raytheon is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join our dynamic team in support of the Global ISR Sensors and Software business. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with advanced production materials and ensure they meet the highest quality standards in the industry. This position will be located ONSITE at our Westford, MA facility.
What You Will Do:
- Perform receiving and work-in-process inspection of production material. Ensure that supplied material has been received in accordance with engineering specifications and purchase order requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, purchase order quality codes, and bills of material in order to assure compliance.
- Ensure that manufactured system components comply with engineering specifications and production requirements.
- Identify non-conformances and record deviations from specification into the nonconformance tracking system.
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) by communicating specification interpretations, measurement and test results, and performing additional investigation as needed.
- Support manufacturing and engineering with inspection and data collection throughout the design and build processes. Ensure material accepted into inventory satisfies design requirements and associated records meet company and industry standards.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
- 3 years’ experience inspecting mechanical components with a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- 2 years’ experience inspecting fragile materials (thin metals, glass, soft coatings) with considerations toward handling and product preservation
- 3 years experience with general purpose mechanical measuring equipment (dial indicators, verniers, micrometers, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T, and other engineering specifications
- Familiarity with MSOffice applications
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Some CMM programming experience a plus
- Experience with SAP a plus

The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD - 114,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
