Schedule: Monday to Friday; 2nd shift primarily. However, must be ready to work any shift/OT/weekends as needed
Pay Rate: $ 44.00-$48.00 per hour
About the Role
As a Metals Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in forming, fabricating, and assembling complex aircraft components to exacting standards. Based in Wichita, KS, you’ll support advanced aviation manufacturing operations—helping ensure structural integrity, performance, and reliability across key aerospace programs.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:
Develop innovative methods, techniques, and form blocks to support metal forming and straightening processes
Adjust and maintain heat, gas, and hydraulic control systems within precise operating ranges
Use test equipment and measuring tools to ensure parts meet engineering specifications and tolerances
Work on high-complexity components requiring precise craftsmanship and attention to detail
Fabricate and assemble mechanical, structural, and plumbing parts and assemblies
Operate stretch press and hand routing equipment for shaping and finishing metal components
Collaborate with team members to improve production methods and efficiency
Required QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience in Stretch Press and/or Hand Rout operations
Strong ability to work with complex metal parts and tight tolerances
Ability to stand and work for full 8-hour shifts in a production environment
Willingness to work 2nd shift primarily, with flexibility for other shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
Ability to pass background checks and hiring requirements (including rehire checks if applicable)
Availability to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
Preferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace manufacturing or aviation structures
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision measurement tools
Proven ability to troubleshoot and improve metal forming and fabrication processes
