The Quality Assurance Inspector ensures compliance with FAA regulations, repair station procedures, and company quality standards across all maintenance activities. The role performs inspections, supports audits, and maintains quality system oversight to ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved data and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with maintenance, parts, and operational teams to promote safety, accuracy, and consistency across service center locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and document inspections in accordance with FAA regulations, approved data, and company procedures
- Determine airworthiness and approve or reject work performed, including return-to-service authorization where applicable
- Stop work when non-compliance or safety concerns are identified and ensure corrective action is taken
- Review work orders, logbooks, and maintenance records for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
- Verify parts traceability, certification, and documentation in accordance with FAA requirements
- Support internal audits and external audits including FAA and customer inspections
- Maintain and update quality system documentation including Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and training records
- Maintain inspection authority records, rosters, and personnel qualification tracking
- Coordinate with maintenance and team leaders to ensure adherence to inspection procedures and quality standards
- Support discrepancy tracking, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
- Ideal candidate has 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including 1 year experience in a quality or inspection role within a Part 145 repair station
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations including Parts 43, 65, 91, and 145
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, technical data, and regulatory documentation
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, and quality system processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with maintenance, parts, and operations teams

The pay range is $35 - $48 per hour depending on experience. Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with spanet data.
