The Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness and safety of aircraft by performing detailed inspections, coordinating maintenance tracking programs, and verifying compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. This position involves reviewing aircraft documentation, conducting return-to-service procedures, and supporting overall quality assurance processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to General Work Requirements in coordination with Quality leadership to ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct aircraft weighing procedures per manufacturer-recommended practices and procedures.
Upon aircraft arrival, review and obtain all associated documentation, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
Coordinate inspection activities in compliance with maintenance tracking programs (e.g., CAMPS, AVTRAC).
Inspect aircraft, engines, parts, and components using precision tools and equipment to verify compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform inspections on new, repaired, or rebuilt parts/components for damage, conformity, and accuracy upon receipt.
Ensure all work orders, maintenance records, and corrective actions are properly documented and that all required regulatory approvals (FAA, FAR/CAA, etc.) are obtained.
Research aircraft technical drawings and data (e.g., REO, ENICO, EO, DCN) to support maintenance tasks.
Conduct walk-around inspections to verify aircraft readiness for return to service.
Execute return-to-service procedures, ensuring that all airworthiness requirements are met before aircraft release.
Provide technical data and reports to customers as required.
Requirements Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification is required.
5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
2+ years of corporate or commercial jet experience.
Must own a basic set of hand tools and demonstrate proper inventory and control.
Proficiency in using measuring tools and test equipment for inspections.
Ability to interpret and process regulatory documents, including FAA regulations, CAA, RSM/QCM, ADs, SBs, and TCDS.
Knowledge of return-to-service procedures and regulatory compliance requirements.
Strong ability to train, coach, and mentor employees within areas of qualification.
