Job Title: Structures MechanicJob Description
The Structures Technician will work in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment, focusing on the disassembly, repair, fabrication, reassembly, installation, and documentation of maintenance actions on heavy-lift helicopters, particularly Boeing CH-47 airframes. The role primarily supports full rebuilds and occasionally assists in fleet heavy maintenance checks.
Responsibilities
- Review task cards and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machine tools for removing, inspecting, fabricating replacement parts, repairing, reassembling, and documenting work.
- Perform frequent removal and installation of standard and blind rivets.
- Conduct drilling, reaming, and riveting tasks to close tolerance with high precision.
Essential Skills- Minimum 4 years of experience in aircraft sheet metal structures repair.
- Proficiency in fabricating, including cutting and bending, based on blueprints.
- Experience with CH-47 airframes repair is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Ability to use basic and specialty sheet metal tools.
- Willingness to undergo testing involving fastener installation, countersink depth, precise drilling, and bending measurement.
- Understanding of Bend Allowance or Bend Deduction concepts.

Work Environment
The role is based in heavy-lift helicopter fleet MRO and rebuild hangars. Initial schedule is 5 days a week (8am - 4:30pm) for several weeks, transitioning to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm) either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $52.00/hr.
