The Account Manager, Financial Institution (FI) Partnerships will support the FI Aeroplan products, which includes delivering the best credit card experience for Aeroplan cardholders and innovating by way of new benefits and features.

The successful incumbent will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop compelling business strategies and oversee the execution of multiple, concurrent projects in support of Aeroplan and our FI partner goals and objectives, including the acquisition and engagement of cardholders.  

Overall responsibility is to ensure partner and member needs are satisfied while maintaining profitability and flawless execution on all program deliverables.

Responsibilities:

    Resolve partner and customer service issues in a timely and effective manner; work with the Partner and Aeroplan/Air Canada Customer Service and Operations groups.Become a subject matter expert for internal operational systems that maintain seamless co-brand systems (both internal and external).Oversee the implementation of new or enhanced operational processes related to the management of the cobrand portfolio.Support cross FI initiatives including new product enhancements, campaigns, conduct FI spend analysis and business case new FI opportunities.  Establish and cultivate trusting and cohesive relationships with partners both internal and external.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Aeroplan credit card features and operational processes.Provide industry expertise and insight, via demonstration of financial sector insight and in-depth understanding of the Partner’s business, competitive environment and emerging trends (e.g. mobile wallet and digital loyalty).Closely monitor key performance indicators and identify when additional actions are required to meet business objectives.Prepare briefing documents on a project-by-project basis.Assist in preparation of presentations and proposals. 
Qualifications

    University or college degree, preferably in business or spaneting.1-3 years of account management and/or finance/accounting related experience.Financial acumen with strong data and analytical capabilities.Excel and PowerPoint skills required.Experience in credit cards or financial institutions an asset.Proven experience working across different stakeholders from multiple disciplines, building and working with large cross-functional teams.Ability to influence others with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously involving various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.Good problem-solving skills and superior attention to detail.Superior interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.Strong data-driven thinking and analytical skills.Thrives in a high-volume, agile, and fast-paced environment within a high-performance, results-oriented, passionate and fun-loving/travel-obsessed team.Passion for delivery of the best-in-class customer experience.Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.Bilingual English / French an asset.
