The Boeing P-8 Poseidon is a military aircraft developed by Boeing Defence, based on a modified design of the 737-800ERX. Initially developed for the US Navy, the aircraft first flew in 2009 and was introduced into service in 2013. In 2019, the UK Ministry of Defence received its first fleet of nine P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA). These aircraft are equipped to handle a diverse range of missions, including submarine protection and reconnaissance.
Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) has been the exclusive Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) for the UK fleet since its introduction into service. This role will focus on ensuring maintenance planning excellence for the UK Poseidon MRA Mk1 and international P-8 customers across the globe. This is a full-time role based on-site in Lossiemouth.

- Ensure compliance with military and commercial airworthiness standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in maintenance planning and execution.
- Foster a culture of excellence in maintenance planning and control, emphasizing safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance planning discussions with senior military and company officials.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to maintenance planning and control personnel, promoting professional development and skill enhancement.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in maintenance planning and control within an aerospace environment, with a strong focus on MRO operations.
- Proven track record in managing maintenance schedules, resources, and personnel to optimize aircraft availability.
- Strong knowledge of military/commercial airworthiness regulations and maintenance practices, including experience with Continuing Airworthiness Management Organizations (CAMO).
