What are your contributions to the team?
- Planning, Communications and coordination of training and development initiatives.
- Performance reviews, and performance improvement plans (PIPs) to assist employees and rectify performance deficiencies through targeted feedback, support, and clear expectations.
- Create, implement and track project plans for training initiatives.
- Proficiency in performing Knowledge Skill Assessment and measurements of all BAS sites.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise in troubleshooting training issues and problems for assigned site(s).
- Develops action plans based on needs assessments and conducts “course of action” meetings with senior management, external agencies and supporting departments.
- Develop project plans, schedules, presentations and coordination tools for cross-functional team members and senior management
- Development of Business Aircraft technical training programs through daily interface with AMT Coaches, Training Coordinators and Technical Trainers.
- Ensure all technical coaching is in line with regulatory requirements of the aircraft country of registry (FAA, EASA, Transport Canada, etc.).
- Evaluate training requirements and identify specific training solutions to support service center network with industry leading training curricula and delivery methods.
- Implement safety risk management processes within Training that support the principles of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Manage budgets based on current and forecasted program requirements
- Plan and coordinate learning activities and training on new processes and tools available and develop competencies needed by the performance agents in their new role
- Follow up and measure impact of all learning activities related to performance-based learning process
- Maintain relationships with contract training providers
How to thrive in this role?
- Typically, 5 years of experience in aviation technical training and 2 years aviation supervisory experience required
- Bachelors’ degree in a technical field (Engineering or Aerospace) or equivalent experience in a related field
- Working knowledge of Bombardier Aircraft mechanical / avionics aircraft systems required
- Thorough knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance related regulatory requirements (FAA, TCCA, EASA etc.)
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees with a multiple project setting
- Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management.
- Working knowledge of budgeting principals necessary to read and interpret financial reports, and meet financial objectives for assigned area, site and programs.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to manage and supervise employees
- Working knowledge of current trends and best practices within Aerospace related technical training
- Tracking productivity and assessment of training effectiveness
- Ability to travel periodically in order to support off-site meetings and initiatives
- FAA A&P license is required
