Deputy Group Training Safety Manager 

Based in Budapest 

Purpose of the position:

To support the effective implementation of the safety management system within the group training organization by executing safety-related activities, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that the safety management activities are executed according to the relevant procedures.
• Supporting the Group Training Safety Manager with active participation in:
  • Facilitating hazard identification, risk analysis and management;
  • Monitoring the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan;
  • Providing periodic reports on safety performance;
  • Ensuring maintenance of safety management documentation (processes and procedures), regularly update the ATO OMM SMS part;
  • Ensuring that there is a safety management training available and that it meets acceptable standards;
  • Development and promotion of a positive safety culture;
  • Managing the safety reporting channels including mandatory and voluntary reporting;
  • Monitor industry legislation changes, continuously checking and analyzing SIBs and ADs and if necessary, take appropriate actions;

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, safety management, or a related field is an advantage
• Specialized trainings as per OMM
• Experience in aviation safety or training operations is preferred
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Skills and competencies:

• Knowledge of aviation safety management systems (SMS)
• Understanding of EASA regulations and safety standards
• Analytical and risk assessment skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to promote and support a safety culture
