Summary of Essential Duties
- Develop, maintain and monitor guidance based on federal regulations (FAA, CBP, TSA, EASA), Company policies and industry standards ensuring the Company remains compliant
- Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA and other regulatory authorities for matters related to flight standards
- Develop and maintain the following company manuals:
- Systems Administration Manual (SAM)
- General Operations Manual (GOM)
- Standards Manual
- Aircraft Standard Operating Procedures Manual (SOPM) – ERJ, CRJ
- Collaborate with the Chief Pilot and training department on the development, implementation, and evaluation of pilot training programs, including initial, recurrent, and specialized training
- Work closely with the Safety Department to identify and mitigate risks
- Promote a safety-first culture through effective communication and leadership
- Participate in investigations related to operational incidents, providing expert input and recommendations
- Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of flight standards into overall operation
- Identify trends and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies
- Prepare reports on flight standards metrics and compliance status for senior leadership.
- Conduct line supervisory flying to ensure the professionalism of pilots and overall pilot standards
- Develops and implements Flight Operations initiatives
- Execute safety risk management and perform safety assurance following Safety Management System (SMS) principles
- Flight Operations POC for ARG/US - IS-BAO, DOD and 3rd party audits.
- Attend industry conferences
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
