Job Description:

General

The Manager of Technical Publications is responsible for the administration, control, revision, and distribution of all Company technical manuals in accordance with FAA regulatory requirements and Company document control procedures.

This position manages the Technical Publications program and ensures that all operational manuals remain accurate, current, and properly controlled to support safe and compliant airline operations. The role coordinates manual revisions with operational departments, maintains electronic publications systems, and ensures timely incorporation of regulatory and manufacturer changes into Company manuals

The position reports directly to the Director of Quality.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Company’s Technical Publications program and ensure compliance with FAA regulatory requirements and Company manuals systems.
  • Support training programs by ensuring current manuals are available for instructional use.
  • Maintain the official master copies of all Company technical manuals.
  • Maintain secure electronic backups of all Company technical manuals.
  • Ensure continuity of access to manuals and document recovery capabilities.
  • Administer the manual revision, publication, and distribution process.
  • Coordinate manual revisions with operational departments and subject matter experts.
  • Review proposed revisions for accuracy, formatting, and regulatory compliance prior to publication.
  • Maintain revision logs, document control records, and historical revision archives.
  • Administer electronic technical publication platforms.
  • Ensure technical manuals are accessible to authorized users and properly synchronized across digital platforms.


Education, Qualification and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Technical Communications, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency with technical writing and document management tools.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements and aviation manuals systems.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC).
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
