Overview of role:
The Lead, Non-Air Loyalty Partnerships is responsible for overseeing WestJet’s loyalty partnerships with key partners. This position requires a deep understanding of loyalty program dynamics, partner relationship management, and data-driven decision-making. The Lead, Non-Air Loyalty Partnerships will play a key role in managing loyalty partnerships which deliver on WestJet Rewards’ promise of everyday engagement for members.
Key Responsibilities:
Loyalty Partner Management:
- Lead and manage relationships with key loyalty partners.
- Serve as the point of contact for complex partner issues, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction and collaboration.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize existing loyalty partnerships and drive business growth for WS and partners.
- Take ownership of the loyalty partner roadmaps, ensuring that partnerships evolve with a focus on long-term partner and customer engagement.
Performance Optimization & Reporting:
- Develop a comprehensive annual account plan that aligns WS and Partner objectives, driving member engagement, satisfaction and account growth.
- Oversee the tracking, analysis, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) for all partner-related loyalty activities, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data and partner feedback.
- Conduct in-depth business reviews with partners to assess loyalty partnership performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams such as member engagement, marketing and analytics to drive cross-functional alignment and execution of partner-related loyalty initiatives.
- Lead internal and external meetings to ensure alignment with program goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, broader loyalty, marketing, and analytics teams to refine and evolve loyalty partner value propositions.
- Ensure successful, on-time delivery of initiatives, balancing priorities and managing resources effectively.
Customer-Centric Focus:
- Ensure that loyalty partnerships are designed and executed with a clear focus on driving member engagement, loyalty and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize customer insights and market research to inform loyalty partnership enhancements, ensuring relevant and impactful loyalty offerings.
- Leverage feedback from partners and customers to continuously refine loyalty partnerships and deliver exceptional value.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree or equivalent preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in account management (within the Airline or Loyalty industries), strategic partnerships, or customer loyalty, with a demonstrated track record of success in managing large-scale or complex partnerships.
- dvanced negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of loyalty program design, execution, and performance optimization.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand partner objectives while aligning them with company goals.
- Expertise in using CRM, analytics, and loyalty management platforms to track program performance and make data-driven decisions.
- High-level strategic thinking with an ability to implement innovative solutions for partner engagement and customer loyalty.
