Arconic is currently in search of Maintenance Supervisor to join our Building and Construction operations in Cranberry TWP, PA.

The Maintenance Supervisor located in Cranberry PA is responsible for maintaining systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervising staff.Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage, supervise and execute maintenance as well as related support activities for the site.
Supervise and direct maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective completion of work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, shift reports, and equipment history.
Ensures compliance with company safety and security standards, procedures and policies.
Assist with site environmental conformance as well as hazardous material programs ensuring all Environmental, Health & Safety policies as related to the Maintenance Department
Support efforts to maintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts to accurately repair all equipment.
Conduct proper follow-through on all maintenance issues.
Decide and deploy appropriate crewing arrangements for planned and unplanned situations based on absences, schedule requirements, equipment availability, and vacations
Identify and implement continuous improvement plans.
Provide asset management in a cost-effective manner including proper equipment operations and world class equipment availability.
Troubleshoot different equipment and systems failures.
Solve problems to the root cause to prevent a recurrence.
Effectively communicating with others within and outside the work group.
Providing leadership, direction and motivation to people in the assigned area.
Effectively manage employee day-to-day issues.
Manage contractors.
Schedule and supervise contractors’ activities including repairs and projects.
Support the implementation of Arconic Business System initiatives (lean manufacturing) including 5S, standardized work, work balance, product flow and TPM improvements.
Other projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Technical degree.
- 10 years or more experience in an industrial maintenance environment, aluminum extrusion and finishing is a plus.
- Previous supervision experience.
- Mechanical/Electrical Equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to provide effective leadership to a large group of employees over several shifts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience using maintenance databases such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or similar planning and scheduling tools.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in an aluminum extrusion and finishing employer.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, science, or manufacturing from an accredited institution.
