We are seeking a Manufacturing Senior Manager (Level 6) to lead all Production Operations at our Johnstown, PA facility. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing assembly and fabrication of complex parts and assemblies, ensuring operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As the Manufacturing Senior Manager, you will:
• Lead all Production Operations at the Johnstown site, ensuring seamless execution of manufacturing objectives.
• Oversee the assembly and fabrication of complex aerospace components and assemblies.
• Ensure operational excellence by meeting or exceeding schedule, cost, safety, and quality targets.
• Provide strategic leadership, ensuring optimal staffing levels and workforce readiness.
• Manage department budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support program needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing efficiency, productivity, and cost performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing processes with company objectives.
• Report out and brief executive leadership on key manufacturing performance metrics, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience Leading in Manufacturing &/or Production Operations Environment

• Experience in a Leadership role with qualities related to personal and interpersonal skills, effective communications, presentation skills, decisions making &/or organization.

• Experience with Workforce Development (employee recruitment, hiring &/or development)

• Experience in managing safety, quality, cost, &/o schedule.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Management, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Experience leading &/or implementing continuous improvement activities

• Previous experience with lean manufacturing, corrective action and process improvements

• Working knowledge of one or more organizations including: Operations, Production Engineering, Planning, Production Control, MRP, Quality, etc.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
