Collins Aerospace is on the lookout for an exceptional Procurement Manager who will work onsite in Haltom City, TX to elevate our supplier relationships and drive excellence in procurement. In this pivotal role, you’ll take charge of managing all aspects of our engagements with key suppliers, ensuring that schedules, purchase orders, and delivery expectations are met with precision.

You will be the cornerstone in our procurement strategy, you will be responsible for proactively managing and leading the procurement team to ensure that the purchasing needs of the business are met. A significant focus of this role is coordinating the activities of the team to achieve program requirements and ensuring that the team and all areas of the business adhere to the correct procurement practices.

In this role, you’ll also tackle delivery assurance, coordinating with suppliers to resolve issues such as shortages and delays, and authorizing purchase orders with strategic oversight. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of primarily intermediate supply chain professionals.
  • Ensure the uninterrupted supply of all materials to support program quality and schedule requirements through supplier relationship management.
  • Manage compliance with procurement process and ensure all required approvals are in place prior to purchase order release.
  • Support compliance justification packages (Price Analyses, Sole/Single Source Justification, ect.)
  • Forecast and mitigate risk around continuity of supply due to capacity or sub-tier supplier challenges.
  • Drive improvements in customer satisfaction, by deploying supply chain best practices to establish and manage effective key performance metrics.
  • Establish and implement continuous process improvement by obtaining direct supplier and customer feedback on the standards of service delivered by the team.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure that supply chain targets are achieved.
  • Recruit, motivate, develop, and retain an appropriately skilled supply chain team.
  • Set objectives and guide team on approach for achievement of operational results.
  • Explain policies, practices, and procedures to team and ensure adherence.
  • Problems faced are difficult and involve consideration of multiple variables.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:  https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62     
  • Experience working with the Supply Chain processes
  • Experience with contract structure, business terms and conditions.
  • Experience managing teams
  • Experience presenting supply chain work products for leadership approval

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
