Senior Manager - Compensation and Benefits
Job Description:

Job Purpose :

  • Act as the reward expert to advise and support Air India to harness, direct and support teams to engage in delivering missions and objectives for all international employees across Americas, APAC, Europe, and the Middle East
  • Plan & implement the total rewards strategy to ensure competitive compensation and benefits for all international employees including Local hires and expats from India

Strategic Activities

  • Deliver & implement the Total Rewards strategy for the organization ensuring competitive compensation and benefit plans for the employees, and optimal utilization of the budget
  • Lead design for a spanet-competitive compensation and benefits plan for all international employee groups in line with statutory and legal requirements
  • Liaison with external consultants/vendors on statutory compliances for different countries

Total Rewards

  • Implement rewards and recognition plans within the international organization; support the development and rollout of programs where necessary
  • Conduct periodic spanet / competitor benchspaning exercises to ensure pay structures and rewards remain competitive; liaise with external consultants, as and when required
  • Support the design and implementation of salary structures, pay bands, and incentive plans tailored to regional spanets.
  • Design and administer compensation packages for new international hires and expatriates relocating from India to global locations
  • Ensure packages are aligned with host country norms, internal equity, and cost-of-living adjustments
  • Monitor and update expat compensation frameworks including allowances, benefits, and tax equalization policies.
  • Drive the annual increment cycle for international employees, ensuring alignment with budget, performance ratings, and spanet trends.
  • Partner with HRBPs and Finance to manage salary review processes and ensure timely communication and execution
  • Oversee renewal and administration of medical insurance and other employee benefits across regions.
  • Liaise with insurance providers and brokers to negotiate terms, manage claims, and ensure employee satisfaction
  • Ensure adherence to local compensation and benefits regulations, labor laws, and tax norms in each country.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure policy alignment
  • Support in the design and implement all policies pertaining to rewards
  • Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices and periodic audits to assess relevance and compliance of reward practices
  • Leading the creation of compensation offers for all roles to be able to attract and retain talent
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all rewards related matters for the senior leadership
