Be Part of Something BiggerPDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking skilled Fabrication Specialists to support the Space Launch System (SLS) program rocket. This is a unique opportunity to put your hands-on expertise to work on groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of innovation and human achievement.
What You’ll DoAs a Fabrication Specialist, you will:
Perform machine set-up, machining, welding preparation, sheet metal and tube fabrication.
Operate specialized Friction Stir Welding (FSW) machinery to join aerospace components, ensuring precision and quality.
Conduct composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
Assemble, repair, and install power plants, drive trains, wire harnesses, and avionics products.
Support weld preparation and robotic weld tool operations for the SLS program rocket.
Inspect welds, perform routine machine maintenance, and collaborate with engineers to solve technical challenges.
Follow established drawings, requirements, and safety procedures while working in a dynamic production environment.
Required QualificationsMinimum 3 years’ experience operating specialized Friction Stir Welding (FSW) machinery.
Proven experience with welding tools and preparation.
Solid understanding of welding processes and metallurgy.
Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and cross-functional teams.
Comfortable working at heights and wearing all required PPE (provided).
Must pass a NASA background check (conducted post-start).

Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years’ related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Trade school experience with welding is highly valued.

Pay Details: $27.29 per hour
