JOB PURPOSE:

This role leads a team of supervisors, technicians and outsourced vendors to undertake all preventive/corrective maintenance and improvement works to ensure that the facilities and civil assets are in good working conditions with minimum disruption to airport operations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Conduct site inspections and prepare comprehensive reports on the progress and quality of construction work
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
• Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, including troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Participate in the development and implementation of project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and procedures

About you:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Civil Technical Officer or in a similar technical role
• Strong working knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management techniques
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, BIM software, and other engineering design tools
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Airport experience advantageous
