Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks a Quality and Operational Exellence Intern for Summer 2025 in Camden, NJ.
After orientation and training, the intern will perform entry-level quality engineering tasks on rocket propulsion projects. This internship will familiarize the candidate with the manufacturing floor making the connection between design requirements and manufacturing capability. The intern will support senior engineering staff and gain experience and familiarization with Aerojet Rocketdyne quality practices, manufacturing, and programs. The intern must be able to operate effectively in a team environment. This internship position will start in approximately May/June 2021.
Essential Job Functions:
- 50 - Provide technical support to engineers; assist technical staff in providing adequate methods to meet quality requirements, provide root cause and corrective actions, all while meeting delivery and performance targets; assist engineers in the design & development of products and processes to improve production.
- 45 - Assist in the quality and operational projects.
- 5 - Mandatory training.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in a B.S. degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (or similar Engineering major) OR enrolled in an advanced degree program in related major, and returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
- Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Preferred Requirements:
- 3.2 GPA or above.
- Junior standing or above.
- Solid academic track record of accomplishment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little direction.
- Leadership & teamwork skills.
