Java Software Developer (SC Cleared)
Portsmouth / Hybrid (3 days on site / 2 days remote)
12 months initially
55 Per Hour inside IR35 / Umbrella
Due to the urgent nature of the role candidates must have current / transferrable SC Security Clearance.
Tasks & accountabilities
• Development of code within an agile environment (scrum).
• Working with the team to design, implement and test features for a new product development.
• Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning.]

Required Skills
• Java Core (version 8+)
• Spring Boot, Spring Framework - Good knowledge of Developing in Spring with Hibernate
• Good Knowledge of developing REST within HTTPS
• Experience of developing within a microservice architecture
• Web Services using RESTful APIs
• Distributed systems
• Knowledge and use of software design patterns
• Agile Development Processes
• CI/CD delivery techniques
• Source code management (we use GIT)
• Use of Issue tracking systems (such as Jira)
• UML/SysML using Enterprise Architect or similar
• Ability to self-motivate and to work well within a team environment.
• Ability to promote innovation in self and others
• Ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner
