Job Description:

PSS Functional & Business Process Support Expert

About Brussels Airlines

Brussels Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, is the national airline of Belgium with its home base at Brussels Airport.
Our mission is to be the most reliable airline, making everyone feel at home.
We are passionate about what we do, whether it’s on board, in an office, in the hangar or at an airport. Our people are recognized for always going above and beyond and for constantly challenging themselves.

Purpose of the position

You provide second and third line support for Amadeus Applications, including Reservation, Inventory, Ticketing, Fare Quotation, Check-in, Weight and Balance, Sales GUI Oneres, and various surrounding systems.

You will also lead or contribute to projects within the aforementioned areas.

Your tasks

  • PSS All-round System Expert
Serve as the single and preferred point of contact (SPOC) for all Passenger Service Systems (PSS) related to second and third level information and support needs.

Address functional questions and perform root cause analysis on recurring issues at the business process or system usage level. Fine-tune Business Rules to ensure continuity of sales and operations according to company standards.

Conduct proactive research and conceptual analysis to find structural solutions and address requests for system changes (e.g., new business needs). Restore the test system after periodic capture/restore of suppliers, such as Amadeus-Altéa.

  • Incident Management
Manage the life cycle of incidents, including logging incidents with providers, following up on Q&A, testing solutions on the test system, monitoring resolution in Production and communicating with the end user.

  • Support of New Products/Ideas
Investigate, prepare, and follow up on Brussels Airlies’ new or revised product offerings (e.g., ECOP, PY). Collaborate closely with business units and their Subject Matter Experts, actively contributing to feasibility assessments.

  • New Releases
Manage new features in RES/INV/TKT/CM by analysing them and proposing content for new releases to SMEs and/or business units. If approved for Brussels Ailrines, you will oversee the entire testing process and ensure smooth implementation.                  Manage new OneRes/Arde/CM/FM releases, which are available to the airline several times a year. PSS Support will analyse these releases and, in collaboration with business units, decide which releases to retain, test, and activate.                        Stay updated with developments in the travel industry to maintain an up-to-date PSS environment. Collect Brussels Airlines’ needs for future development and manage them through the suppliers community release voting.
  • PSS Liaison
Regularly organize information meetings with PSS liaison colleagues in various operational and sales communities.

Manage the flow of information to end-users through the PSS liaisons. Optimize contact with end-users via the PSS liaisons to gain a better understanding of encountered issues, thereby improving and facilitating the reporting of problems. Collect issues and needs through the same channel.

  • Project Work
Contribute as a subject matter expert for Brussels Airlines in group-run projects within the aforementioned areas.

Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) and lead the Brussels Airlines’ portion of such projects.

Manage local Brussels Airlines’ projects in the specified areas, depending on their size and complexity.

Your profile

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent through experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the aviation industry.
  • 3+ years’ experience with PSS systems (RIT/CM).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Flexible and stress-resistant.
  • Ability to prioritize and distinguish between tasks at hand.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written in English, French, and Dutch).
