JOB SUMMARY
The Purchasing Desk Manager is responsible for sourcing detail parts for repair and replacing BER units to support parts sales, collaborating closely with Operations, Product teams and Technical Support. This role focuses on resolving issues on open orders by assisting repair vendors in procurement of piece parts, higher or lower assemblies, using Engineering for potential repair options, working with the Product Manager for solutions. The position requires close coordination with suppliers, engineering, and repair vendors to ensure on-time delivery orders to Source One Spares customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in aviation procurement, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills.
This position responsible for PROCURING AIRCRAFT PARTS, MATERIAL, and SERVICES, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely delivery, and compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchasing, Status Coordination with Source One Sales and Product Managers:
- Source aviation piece parts from approved vendors and manufacturers.
- Provide regular order status updates and coordinate with Source One Sales and Product Managers to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Identify and resolve supply chain delays, backorders, and sourcing challenges.
- Work closely with engineering teams to identify solutions for parts that are unavailable or have long lead times.
- Assist in identifying alternate parts, substitutions, or engineering changes to meet customer needs.
- Resolve issues related to Beyond Economical Repair parts by working with engineering and Product
- Managers to determine repair feasibility or alternative sourcing.
