ServiceNow Developer (Enterprise Developer II)
Job Description:
Overview

Experienced ServiceNow Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating IT enterprise software solutions with a focus on frameworks, programming, troubleshooting, and debugging IT software issues, aligned with strategic goals and technology needs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine project requirements as part of the development lifecycle from conception to delivery.


Responsibilities

System Operations (50)

  • Resolve technical issues and provide in-depth support.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot application performance problems.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain support documentation.
  • Assist in user training and communication.

System Design and Integration (40)

  • Develop IT software applications based on project requirements.
  • Design and implement new features with guidance from senior developers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on coding and testing.
  • Take ownership of specific modules or components.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and participate in code reviews.

Planning (10)

  • Participate in project planning and estimation.
  • Contribute to the development of technical strategies for projects.
  • Collaborate with architects to align solutions with enterprise goals.
  • Provide input into the selection of technology stacks and frameworks.


Qualifications

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • ServiceNow experience implementing ITSM, ITOM, ITAM (Incident, Change, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Portal, Mobile, etc.)
  • ServiceNow experience with HRSD, CSM, or SPM is a plus.
  • ServiceNow experience developing service catalog items and custom applications.
  • ServiceNow experience integrating with third-party applications such as Jira, Workday, Oracle, using Integration Hub and RESTful implementations.
  • ServiceNow experience with IDP solutions (LDAP, SSO, SAML).
  • ServiceNow experience creating/maintaining a secure UI and data environment (ACLs, business rules, UI policies, data policies, client scripts, etc).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental web technologies like REST, HTTP verbs, DOM, Web security, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, context switches, and make efficient use of shared resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with user-centered, iterative design and development processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risk and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/ES6, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Experience in high-level programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Perl, etc.
  • Experience with RDBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, PostGreSQL.
  • Experience presenting to all levels of users (internal and external) in English.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related technical field, or 6+ years of experience in IT enterprise software development in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT enterprise software development.

  • Product certification (preferred)
