Position SummaryReporting to the Technical Records Manager, the Technical Records Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized maintenance records and documentation of Perimeter’s fleet of airplanes, ensuring that daily collection of aircraft logs and maintenance work is recorded and maintained in compliance with Canadian Aircraft regulations and Company policies and procedures.Personal CharacteristicsHighly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environmentProfessional and respectful, with a positive work attitudeTimely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance is essentialMotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsAble to think critically and act logically to evaluate situations and provide sound judgmentStrong attention to detailStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsSuperior time management skills, multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasksHigh level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communitiesKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesMaintain and update aircraft technical records, including but not limited to, all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and modifications performed per aircraftEnter data into an electronic maintenance tracking systemOrganize, file and maintain physical copies of aircraft flight logs and maintenance documentsEnsure that all Maintenance paperwork is up to date, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to technical logs, journey logs, task cards, part tags, modifications, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, etc.Audit all Maintenance technical records for accuracy, completeness and adherence to regulationsAudit completed tasks for Supplemental Structural Inspection Document (SSID) and Airworthiness Directive (AD) complianceAssist in updating SSID and AD intervals based on regulation, maintenance completed and faults foundSupport internal and external audits and inspectionsResearch the inspection requirements for any new components, implement set up and determine re-inspection intervalsActively participate in the Company’s Safety Management SystemPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Education, Experience and CertificationsHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalentPost secondary education in aircraft technical records or equivalent experience in a related fieldPrevious experience with an Aviation Management Software (WinAir preferred)Minimum two years’ technical records experienceFamiliar with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and airworthiness requirementsFamiliar with the ATA system and aircraft maintenance terminologyExperience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizationsIndigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an assetWorking ConditionsPhysically able to perform all listed job dutiesTravel by aircraft and other means as required by roleHandle a fast-paced office environmentComplete repetitive tasksLift up to a maximum of 30lbs
