Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Cargo Agent for a 90-day contract-to-hire position. This role involves handling various warehouse tasks including unloading and loading packages, staging them for pick-up, and ensuring efficient movement within the facility. The position offers an hourly wage of $18.00.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages from freight containers.
• Load packages into freight containers.
• Stage packages for pick-up from the main entity.
• Lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.
• Bend, stand, and walk on a consistent basis.
• Work on a site with regulated traffic.
• Learn and operate a forklift.

• Experience in unloading, loading, warehouse, shipping, and receiving (minimum 3 months).
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.
• Valid Drivers License required for direct hire.

• Experience with forklifts, packing, inventory, production, picking, general labor, packaging, RF scanner, material handling, loading, pallet jack, order picking, unloading, shipping and receiving, assembly, labeling, warehouse inventory, general production.
• Candidates with state IDs can start as contractors but must obtain their license to be hired directly.

Work Environment

The facility supports the new Amazon AIR facility and is located near major airports to aid in the shipping of Amazon products. Employees work in a hanger/warehouse style environment with a smaller, rapidly growing team. Shifts include 6:30 pm to 3:30 am and 12:00 am to 8:30 am. OSHA and BADGE classes are provided and paid for. Employees will work 5 days in a row with 2 consecutive days off, which may include weekends. Schedules are adjusted every 90 days based on seniority and operational needs, with any changes communicated 30 days in advance.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
