What youll do:

• Support implementation of local/regional operations plans and worldwide handling strategy
• Monitor Lufthansa Cargo operational performance, subcontractors, cost/service KPIs and products
• Drive process improvements in export/import cargo services and warehouse operations
• Liaise with Ground Handling Agent to ensure service standards and resolve handling issues
• Manage warehouse functions: cargo storage, dangerous goods compliance, FAA/TSA regulations, equipment/ULDs
• Communicate with Lufthansa Cargo customers on imports/exports, express, and special cargo
• Maintain quality standards, documentation, and adherence to Lufthansa Cargo procedures
• Support budget planning, KPI dashboards, and local process enhancements

The ideal candidate should have

• High school diploma/GED
• University Degree or equivalent higher education diploma is a plus
• 3-6 years’ of export and import warehouse operations experience
• Knowledge of warehouse and logistics management
• Strong computer skills
• Fluency in Italian and English; German is a plus

• Strong problem-solving, professionalism, reliability, and independence
• Committed, flexible, and able to excel in dynamic environments
• Highly desirable
• • Direct operations and/or cargo handling experience at FCO airport, including handling special shipments and key customer accounts
  • Strong relationship management with Rome and/or Italy local stakeholders, and experience in budgeting, cost control, KPI monitoring, and working with service providers
  • Familiarity with cargo systems, cargo KPIs, and CargoIQ
• Knowledge of the cargo industry, including handling and airport facilities
• Familiarity with Italy’s cargo spanet and FCO airport operations; certifications for special cargo handling are a plus
• CHM/GOM qualification
